As featured in the popular ‘Eat, Pray Love’ Film, Padang Padang beach is a tiny stretch of white sand beach and is beautiful to swim, has great surf and is popular with day trippers. There are a few stairs to get down ( perhaps 100 so not good for people who may have bad knees) and a narrow cave like space. You can get sarongs, drinks, baby coconuts, massages and snacks here and also hire stand up paddle boards from 100 000 rupiah for and hour( I think it was). My boys saw some rock climbers scaling the cliffs and thought they would try it too. It can get a little cloudy in the wet season however usually pristine in dry season. It’s about 40 minutes from Kuta and its on the way past Bingin and to Uluwatu. Perhaps include it in with a trip to the Uluwatu Temple and finish off the day watching the Kekak Fire Dance on the cliff top. More details of that coming soon x.
